When True Love Found & Rescued Me
I can still recall the day I asked my mother a simple yet profound question: “Why do we keep doing all these religious activities over and over again?” I was just a child, full of wonder and curiosity. My mother paused, looked at me with a gentle smile, and said, “It’s our family tradition. Our whole family has been Muslim, and we, as your parents, make sure to pass it on to you.”
What my mom said played in my mind over and over again. Something inside my heart told me there must be more. I wanted to understand my purpose on earth and why we do what we do — and my questions led me to discover my true purpose in life.

As a curious ten-year-old, I traveled to a new city with my grandmother. This trip changed the course of my life forever. During that visit, I met an extended cousin — a believer in Jesus Christ who secretly interceded for my soul. As her young children said their bedtime prayers one night, I was struck by something very foreign. They were talking to God in simple words, nothing memorized. It wasn’t a fancy prayer or big religious words…
